Silver Shadow Counsel created a sound piece based off a visual score of A Page of Madness (1926) directed by Teinosuke Kinugasa, about a man who takes a job as a janitor in a mental asylum in order to be near his wife and to rescue her.

Much of the film is lost, and what is left is missing about one third of what would have been originally screened in cinemas. By following contemporary and historical modes of composition and improvisation, the Silver Shadow brings in the sounds of the santur, acoustic guitar, piano, drum and bass, field recordings, synthesizers, and voice to articulate the feeling of a page of madness in many.

Co-presented by Atelier Céladon and Festival Accès Asie, this recording is of a live performance that presents of the trace of a spiritual consultation that took place on May 12, 2016 at La Sala Rossa in Montreal composed and executed by the Silver Shadow Counsel, with Amir Amiri, Stefan Christoff, Catherine Debard, and Shota Yokose.
