Cynthia is interested in East Asian art and cinema, art criticism, and the ego-less state of production. A graduate of McGill University in the Departments of Art History, World Cinemas, and Philosophy, she would like to note that she is also a fan of meditation, fashion theory, old Bollywood songs, early 2000s web aesthetics, and tactile arts. Previously, she has organized film screenings, gallery crawls, acted as an extra in various films, and interned at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. She has made a few short films, one of which was screened at the AmérAsia Film Festival in 2014. Aside from working with and co-founding Atelier Céladon, she is currently assisting in the production of clothing pieces for a Montreal-based fashion designer and also learning French and Mandarin.
